I just had some beautiful white calacatta marble mosaic installed in my bathroom and picked a light gray grout.

We have just had our bathroom tiled with 300x600 white ceramic glazed tiles.
The contractor swears that there is no way that the grout stained the stone and that the grout is just making the stone look darker.
He used grey adhevise and white grout.

If it was where the water was hitting it i would think the floor and more of the wall tiles.

We don t know what is causing this.
White marble tiles can remain for years without yellowing then over time may slowly turn yellow and in severe causes may turn completely brown.
Now the marble looks gray yellow and dingy.
This process of oxidation is similar to the rusting of metal.
I m gonna guess he doesn t want to spend the money to buy a new bag of white and had some open bags of grey in the back of the truck but my crystal ball has been wrong before.
I have never seen white marble turn that grey from water before though.

The tile shop claims that tiles are not faulty and that they will turn back to white within.
